El Colegio Road Improvement Project enters final phase
Beginning March 20, 2009, Stadium Road will be open to traffic in both directions.
For the safety of bicyclists and pedestrians, right turns on red lights will be
prohibited from Stadium Road onto El Colegio Road. Access to and from El Colegio
Road via Camino Pescadero, Embarcadero del Mar and Embarcadero del Norte will be
restricted by temporary detours over the next three months. Motorists will be notified
in advance by detour signage. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
This work is part of the El Colegio Road Improvement Project, which will improve
access to and from Isla Vista and UCSB. Project completion is scheduled for June
2009.
