Who is eligible
UCSB Faculty and Managers & Senior Professionals (MSP) are eligible to obtain
a Faculty permit. Employees requesting Faculty permits will have
their status verified via the Personnel Payroll System (PPS). Employees not appearing
in PPS, or employees without the proper title code, will need to provide satisfactory
documentation of their eligibility for a Faculty permit.
Where to park
Faculty permits are valid in lots designated for faculty. Please observe any additional
restrictions that apply to areas or spaces within these lots. The permit is also
valid in time zones for the time designated, and in loading zones for 20 minutes.
Please note the permit is not valid in restricted areas, restricted spaces, reserved
spaces, metered spaces, Coastal Access spaces, or lots/spaces marked for vendors.
How to apply
Permits can be purchased at
Parking Services.
Permits can also be purchased online at
ThePermitStore.com.
If you order online, a ten-day temporary permit can be printed once your
permit order has been approved. Until such time that your order has been approved,
you will be responsible for purchasing short-term permits. Please view our
Short-Term Rate Table
for permit pricing information.
If you have not received your long-term permit by the time your ten-day temporary
permit expires, please visit the Parking Services
office. Vehicles parked on
campus displaying expired permits are subject to citation.
When to renew
Permits expire on June 30. Information regarding renewal of
the permit is emailed to the permit holder prior to the expiration date.
Your payment options
Faculty permits may be purchased for the fiscal year beginning in July at a cost
of $432.00 per year.
Payment by cash, credit card, check or electronic check is accepted. If you choose
to pay by payroll deduction, you will have $36.00 deducted from
your monthly paycheck until such time as the permit is returned to Parking Services.
I don't need a nine-month permit. Do I get a price reduction?
A permit purchased during the school year is prorated and the appropriate fee charged
for the remainder of the year. Permits no longer being used may be turned in for
a refund. Please click here
for more information about our permit return policy.
