Who is eligible
Community members as well as UCSB staff, faculty, and students not residing on campus
are eligible to purchase a 22 Parking Storage permit. This is a
pilot program that accommodates up to 100 automobiles and motorcycles. We regret
we cannot accommodate trailers, RVs, or other types of oversized vehicles.
As a 22 Parking Storage permit holder, you are entitled to freely move your vehicle
in and out of the parking structure.
Where to park
The 22 Parking Storage permit is valid on the top floor of
22 Parking, and is invalid in any other space
or lot on campus.
How to apply
Storage permits may be purchased online at
ThePermitStore.com, or at the Parking Services office.
If you order online, a ten-day temporary permit can be printed once your permit
order has been approved. If you have not received your long-term permit by the day
before your ten-day temporary permit expires, please visit the Parking Services
office. All vehicles parked on campus and displaying expired permits are subject
to citation.
When to renew
Since this is a pilot program, permit sales are monitored throughout the year. Permit
holders will be notified if the program is extended beyond the present year.
Your payment options
- An automobile storage permit costs $864.00 per year (July–June)
or $72.00 per month.
- A motorcycle storage permit costs $216.00 per year (July–June)
or $18.00 per month.
Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card.
Career faculty and staff may choose to pay for their permit by pre-tax payroll deduction.
Limited appointment faculty and staff working 35% time or greater may opt for pre-tax
payroll deduction if their appointment extends to the end of the current fiscal
year. Employees choosing payroll deduction will have $72 deducted each month for
automobile storage, or $18 deducted each month for motorcycle storage. Payroll deduction
will continue until the permit expires, or is returned to Parking Services.
I don't need a nine-month permit. Do I get a price reduction?
Permits purchased during the school year are prorated and the appropriate fee charged
for the remainder of the year. Permits no longer being used may be turned in for
a prorated refund.
