Vendor Permits
Vendor Permit
A Vendor permit allows curbside stopping when you make a delivery or service call on campus. Curbside stopping is valid in:
  • service/restricted (white-curbed) spaces
  • green-curbed spaces
  • 20 minute (yellow-curbed) loading zones

You may also park in lots or spaces marked for vendors, students, or staff.

A vendor permit does not allow you to park in red-zoned or otherwise restricted spaces, reserved spaces, spaces marked for faculty, unpaid metered spaces, or coastal access spaces. The permit likewise does not allow you to obstruct a walkway.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible for a vendor permit if you or your company provides goods, or repair or maintenance services to the UCSB campus. Students, employees of the University, and vendors occupying outdoor stalls at the University Center are not eligible. You may be asked to provide proof of your eligibility.

How do I apply?

Visit the Parking Services Office to apply for a vendor permit. If you want a permit that entitles you to a year of unlimited vendor parking, you may also apply online at The Permit Store.

Is renewal automatic?

Annual permits expire on June 30. You can renew an annual permit within two weeks of its expiration date by applying at the Parking Services Office or by logging onto The Permit Store.

What are my permit options and how much do they cost?

  • A thirty-minute vendor permit costs $10.00 per month or $120.00 per year. Unless otherwise posted, the permit allows you to park in a valid location for up to thirty minutes.
  • An annual vendor permit costs $648.00 per year. Unless otherwise posted, the permit allows you to park all day in a valid location on campus.
  • Short-term parking may be purchased by the hour (up to 4 hours) or the day. Please see the Short Term Rate Table for details.

You may choose to pay by cash, credit card, or check for a permit purchased at the Parking Services Office.

Can I get a refund on an annual permit?

The cost of a permit is reduced if you use it for less than a year. If purchased after the fiscal year begins, the cost is prorated for the balance of the year. If returned to the Parking Services Office before the expiration date, you may be entitled to a refund. Click here for information about our permit return policy.
