Visitor – Long Term Permits
|
Who is eligible
Visitors to the UCSB campus are eligible to purchase a Student parking permit.
For frequent visitors, the permit provides a substantial savings over daily rates.
Where to park
Certain lots allow visitor/student parking at all times (see
Visitor for locations),
while others allow visitor/student parking
only after 5:00PM and on weekends. Some few lots are reserved for specific permit
types and allow no other parking.
Please refer to the lot entrance sign to be
assured that your permit allows you to park within the lot.
Note that other restrictions may apply to specific spaces or areas within a lot
or parking structure.
Student permits are also valid in time zones for the time designated, and in loading
zones for 20 minutes.
The permits are not valid in restricted areas, restricted
spaces, reserved spaces, metered spaces, or lots/spaces marked for vendors. They
are not valid for parking at the off-campus housing complexes.
How to apply
Student permits for visitors can be purchased at
Parking Services.
When to renew
You will need to purchase a new permit from Parking Services
when your current permit expires.
