Capitol Corridor Bus & Train

Heading north for the holidays or other times of year and want a relaxing and inexpensive way to get home? The Capitol Corridor Amtrak train has a dedicated bus connecting UCSB to the San Jose-Diridon Amtrak Station, where you’ll transfer to a train serving 18 stations in Northern California, including Oakland, Berkeley, and Sacramento. The Capitol Corridor also connects to BART in the San Francisco Bay Area at the Oakland Coliseum and Richmond stations, as well as to a number of other transit agencies along its route.

Amtrak bus service links UCSB to Amtrak's San Joaquin trains in Bakersfield that link to cities such as Fresno, Merced, Stockton, Sacramento, Martinez and Oakland. Here is a Google Maps Link to the Amtrak bus stop at UC Santa Barbara.

On the Amtrak Website the UCSB campus Amtrak Throughway bus stop has the station letter designation "SBU" , the Goleta Train Station "GTA" and Santa Barbara Train Station "SBA"
